I had been practicing with it for a few days. Today, I went out and took "serious" images 😛

All were taken on Panasonic G1 at ISO 100, at f/1.5 to f/5.6.
I also shoot raw (rw2). I must say though, I hardly ever adj anything more than exposure tweak, contrast, and sharpening. Colors are fantastic right out of the camera. Although I had adj the AWB to take out some blue. Now, AWB is perfect!

This image has a lot of noise in the shadows:

I am not a "No Noise at all cost guy..."

and I do like a little, because if I do too much NR, you end up with a plastic look, and NOT a photograph look...

You must has good eyes.... you are looking at a thumbnail, and there is no doubt aberrations from the re-size and compression.

That BB net is at ISO 100.....there is noise at any ISO...even in your stuff...have you examined the "Netting"? Plenty of good detail there. Which is part of the main subject.. not the very low amount of shadow areas. I don't mind "pixel peeping", if you do it on an honest level. Which, for the image you picked, was rather "Picky Unn" and not really constructive at all.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hi, I have a similar digital combo, a GF1 which is sometimes use with the sonnar. Nice combo, the sonnar's massive slab of glass makes the little cam look well sexy! 🙂 I love the ergonomics of the sonnar, and love having a usuable manual focus of the GF-1. I do find the 100mm equiv focal length a little long for my tastes, but its great for traditional portrait work! Keep up the good work!

I love the green monkey bar pic! I find it happy. Great colors too.

Thanks for kind words...
