Okay, I rechecked that, and it appears that at least the powder kit doesn't contain a surfactant like Photo-Flo. It is absolutely imperative that the stabilizer be the last step (it protects the dyes from little bugs), so if needed, add some of your own photo-flo to the stabilizer from the kit. DON'T do it separately!

Above Jobo system was.... one bottle of French wine. Further I completed the system by some Jobo spare parts directly from Germany.

But of course it will depend where you live. In Holland they are often almost free of charge.
BTW the same with a lot of enlargers. For free..... 🙂

That's true for enlargers here, but the Jobos?... people pay hundreds of dollars just for the tanks! Seems batty to me.

But I'm cheap. 😀

I tried to do a lot more color this afternoon, but the Tet festival on Saturday was overcrowded and there was a lot of rude people, and so I wasn't really feeling it. I forced myself to do a few shots in Orange this afternoon. None are particularly interesting, but I did manage to finish 2 rolls, 1 of VC, one of NC. I managed to use the new 2 reel tank I bought on Friday, despite my sweaty hands.

I'm kind of disappointed with my progress with the Rollei 35 S... I can handle its mechanics just fine, but I'm still having a lot of issues with scale focusing. The first 5 shots you see here are from my Oly OM2, a camera I mostly had set on Auto... what can I say, the Olys just get the shots I want right away. I think I should accept that and perhaps sell the Rollei and get a new OM2 body (EX chrome, I like chrome).

Anyway, developing went fine after the trouble with reeling was dealt with. When they dried there was a lot of spots on the film. Maybe I need to mix up the stabilizer better? I don't know. I doused the film with some distilled water and dried them again.

The only Rollei shot I really liked. When it works it works, but, ugh, scale focusing... my depth perception sucks too.
