2 + 4

With the 240 I'll generally have a 35mm or 50mm mounted on the camera and 15mm, 25mm, 85mm and 135mm in the bag.

Used to be a Rollei 35 with me all the time. These days a Canon s90. Although I have to admit my iPhone 6 also shoots great pix. Have used it on rare occasions when I don't have the Canon or when I want to remain unobtrusive.

it depends on what im taking pictures of

if portraits, then 1+1, specifically a 50mm
landscape, then 1+2, 28mm, 50mm, maybe 2+2 if I feel like it
travelling, depending for how long and where, it might be 2+3 (20 or 28, 35 or 40, 50 or 105)

In the car I have two bodies, and I shoot with two when I don't have other priorities. Skiing or in the back country it's usually 1 body with 1 lens on, and two in extra pockets.

in recent months it's mostly been one camera (usually the IIIc) and one lens - either a 35 or a 50. I occasionally also slip a folder in the bag if I'm in a MF mood.

One body, two or three lenses.
Or, one fixed lens camera, sometimes a Minox 8X11 if the fancy strikes me. A couple of ounces of precision.

i know this changes depending on need/want etc. BUT...when heading out with the sole purpose of taking pics...what do you generally carry?

i'm thinking about bodies & lenses...i carry 2 bodies and 4 lenses regularly...

1 + 1
The message is too short.

So for those of you who carry multiple lenses for a single body, do you see something, stop, and change to a different lens?

If so, I would find that very difficult. The world just moves too fast.

If not, how do you work when carrying multiple lenses?

John

1 or 2 bodies with lenses on each plus 1-2 additional lenses. Usually in a shoulder bag, but if MF gear included, a slim backpack to carry what I'm not actually shooting with at at the moment.
