Hi folks,

I recently got a 2.8/25mm ZM Biogon and trying to focus it, I realized that the lens focuses down to 0.5m but below 0.8m on the scale of the lens the rangefinder of the M6 doesn't move anymore. 😕 I already searched for "rangefinder adjustment" in the Leica M and Zeiss ZM forum but couldn't find anything helpful allthough I think this topic was already discussed somewhere. I guess similar issues come up with the DR summicron on some bodies.... Does anyone use this lens (ZM25) on a M6 or MP ?
Thanks a lot for advice.

I don't use the 2.8/25, but it looks like the general close focus issue; the M rangefinder is only coupled down to 0.7m or so, after that it decouples. That can't be adjusted either, it's a limit of the system. Below this limit you have to guess focusing.

I might be wrong, but 0.7m is limit of Leica M rangefinder (M3 has 1m without adjustment).

Thanks a lot for the quick responses, it looks like like just the M3 1m to down to 0.7m adjustment is possible but below that it will be guessing. Mmmmh not ususually what I like but I "guess" that's what it's going to be 😀 .
