Thank you, Brett – you're right on both scores, and I should have looked them up instead of relying on unreliable memory.

That sounds a lot like me actually.Thank you, Brett – you're right on both scores, and I should have looked them up instead of relying on unreliable memory.

After a false start last year with a 2.8D that has a number of issues, I acquired a 2.8C myself, a few weeks ago. It's not perfect, either, and needs some TLC, but I have run a couple of rolls of B&W though it which I have to process over the next few days. How are you finding your example, Kirk? Does it live up to all the hype?

Brett

Hi Brett, It will be a while before I know. It had some lens haze & I took it to a local person who can be trusted to clean that part up as well as one can. Then I'll shoot with it for a while, & if the Myth has something to do with Reality, then I'll go for a real overhaul.
Since mine will be in the shop for a week or so, you'll be able to post something before I can.
Waiting with trembling sleepless excitement,
Kirk

Well I processed the first roll from my 2.8C last week. Ilford Pan F Plus ISO 50 in ID-11.
Here is one of the better shots from the roll. Richmond Bridge in the historic village of Richmond, a half hour drive from Tasmania's capital city, Hobart, is home to Australia's oldest surviving bridge. The bridge, which was convict built in 1823, is still in regular use and provides a vital link across the Coal River for the township.

beautiful picture, congrats. Enjoy the Rollei! After getting mine overhauled, I wouldn't sell it for a million bucks. Well, I would, but... you know

Image reveals impressive build quality -- something to be said for convict labor.
