2 cameras with 2 different problems

First, the old problem....my GT only half-way works with a battery in it. The indicators light up on top as well as in the vf, but the shutter is always the same speed. Stop down in low light.....same speed as wide open in full light. Bulb seems to work, but I really want that meter to work like it is rumored to work. Any ideas?

Second, I have a GSN that just this past weekend seemed to develop a new problem. The shutter release sticks in the down position for a few seconds. I'm pretty sure I hear the click of the shutter closing back down, but the button stays depressed. What's going on here?

I presume the POD hasn't been replaced in either of these...that is where you need to look...

I would have thought too, but wasn't sure if these were the symptoms in both cases. Is that what you are saying though?

Yup.......................
