I've been carrying mine by hanging it off the shoulder with the standard 14312 strap. It always slips off though so I'm always catching it as I bend over or move around. So I'm going to make a switch this weekend and try slinging it across the chest (like a black rapid). I've been testing while walking around the house, it seems pretty solid. If I hang the camera around my right hip, then it's a straight forward and intuitive step to grab the lens (and focusing ring) with my left hand, grip normally with my right, and this way I'm in the shooting position before I even get the camera to my eye. I'm an idiot for not trying this a long time ago, it seems so much better than my old way of carrying a camera.

Anyone else shooting this way with an M5?

A&A make a strap for the M5, correct width for the M5 lugs. It stays hanging vertically on my shoulder very well. With that camera I do a hitch in the strap around my left wrist when shooting and it is very comfortable and secure. I would love to have the original M5 leather strap but would now have to have this made. The leather runs freely through the lugs making the move from hanging to using very smooth.
