they can leak from around the shutter speed dial...not a job for tape, just upload them into abstract

The best camera is one that still works!
And while I'm having a gripe ... the J-12 is a rubbish lens IMO!
I just developed the roll I shot with it the other day ... soft ... maybe mine's a dud?

Still, there is always the hope that it was a typo
I better get organised, forgot all about this though i have a good excuse. My car was written off, pity no camera handy as i could have covered transport, landscape and abstract in just the one photo:bang:

Hey, hope your and yours are all OK.
I guess that if you were in it when it became a write off, then putting a few fun activities out of mind is expected.

Oops! The upload left half my images without thumbnails. Anyone know how to correct this?

Yeah ... I noticed that!
Try re-loading the images with the edit function ... if that doesn't work you may have to delete them and start again.

Ah! I don't know how I managed to screw up the loading.
But as you say, Keith, Edit......."rebuild thumbnail" did it!
OK, they're on, no hiding!

Cheers Dave,a lucky non injury accident. Got t-boned by a liquor store delivery van, which just goes to show that alcohol and driving really do not mix.

Just got to say that the exercise of taking out a B&W film camera (more importantly, leaving the digi at home) was quite liberating. I enjoyed getting into the mono mindset again, rather than just taking all shots in colour and then seeing how they look in mono later.
(This is not to belittle the flexibility of my DSLR, which is capable of lovely mono images, it's that I never seem to "see in B&W" when I use the digi.)
I think that this has reminded me that I must hold onto and improve that skill...
More one-cam outings planned, although sadly not with an FSU.

Just looked at my shots from the two latest rolls through the Zorki 1 and Industar-26M. I got rid of most of the scratch problems, but the lens is a bit, shall we say, 'Flarey'? I'm talking cover-the-frame flare. But it's only when it's pointing into the sun, like in the early evening with the sun setting, so as long as I avoid that, it should be okay. But it doesn't seem to be as sharp as the I-22. Maybe I should try it without a filter next time. Will get my shots posted after I do the magic on them (well, crop and spot removal).

You must have a dud. My Kiev-mount J-12 is pretty sharp but the L39 one I have does give a bit of softness in the corners on one side only (go figure - misaligned elements?)And while I'm having a gripe ... the J-12 is a rubbish lens IMO!

Thanks Kapa for organising this - I've uploaded some Revue 3 Industar 61 photos. More in the fridge waiting on development but they won't make the cutoff date.

My images are 720 on the long side, and I still get the "File Too Large" error. I don't know if it's worth it to keep banging my head against the wall dealing with it. What are the arbitrary limits anyway? Why aren't they prominently displayed so people don't waste time getting an image loaded up?

They need to be less than 200 kb. Must develop my film. Kind of forgot the categories while I was out shooing though.

Oh well, just for the fun of it I also added some pictures. Please be gentle
already some really nice work in there.

Yay ... my Fed 2 ate a roll of film the other day, now my life is complete! Somehow the film came off the take up spool and worked it's way around and back through the film gate totally jamming the camera up. LOL
It doesn't have any light leaks though!

Yep my FED3 did a similar thing to me the first time I used it...

Okay...Got my uploads done. Don't know why I missed that bit at the top about the file size. Maybe they could put it in a larger font, or a different color to grab ones attention?
Anyway, I really like what I'm seeing, they are all good photos.

Sadly I've now uploaded my quota ... I was really starting to get into it!
Between the light leaks in the Kiev and the jammed film in the Fed this has been a lot of fun and has reminded me exactly why I keep a couple of FSU cameras.
Thanks Kapa.

Question:
I was under the impression that photos must be taken during the contest period. Is that the case? I have a few from a recent roll through the Kiev that I would be pleased to include if possible.

Well got my roll developed and 12 shots scanned managed to find 3 landscape shots. See what I find on the rest of the roll now to scan the next 12 shots.
