Georgia 2011 RFF Meet-Atlanta

Meeting for breakfast will kick off the day nicely - we can meet each other, arrange for shared rides and discuss any last minute thoughts for the day's activities. For any of us without a car, we'll have to meet somewhere that we can get to by foot or MARTA, though if there are only a couple of us, perhaps it would be easier for someone with a car to pick us up or meet at a MARTA stop.

The Flying biscuit is near the park--not sure how close to Marta...the cafe is on the corner of Piedmont and 14th??--I think...:)

I am good to pick some folks up. John is meeting me at my house early and we will ride in and have room for 2 more...maybe 3 if you are little or friendly

My suggesstion would be the landmark diner on cheshire bridge. The flying bisuit will be jammed with the early sat crowd + the dog wood festival crowd. Landmark is not very far and we can meet folks at the lindburgh marta station as required.

My idea would be to meet there 9 until 10 or 10:30 then make our way to the park. I have a great parkign location right next to the high museum but a bit cheaper (museum parking is very expensive). After bfast we can all park there and walk to the park...about 4 blocks.

I still am looking for folks to mail me their contact info so I can mail them directions to the house.

bride will not accompany me; family related event has come up that cannot be denied. :) in any case, do not figure me for the bbq or hcb. i'll have to head back in the early afternoon to avoid night driving.

Hey, Paul...

HCB is 1:00, be on the road by 2:00 and home way before dark!;)

What time do you think you will arrive in Atlanta? We need to meet up at a convenient location...:)

I'll go for the diner. I've been to the Flying Biscuit a couple of times and the Decatur location, at least, does get VERY crowded on the weekends - 1/2 to 3/4 hour waits.

I found the Lindburgh station on the MARTA map. I could meet there - just give me a time.

Sounds good, big DaveD!
I can also provide transportation from Lindbergh..
Can actually fit in three--and as Dave says--four if you are little and/or friendly...

As an addendum--maybe we should meet at Lindbergh--pick up everyone and THEN go to the diner--and is tat what you said??? :)

If breakfast is at 9:00 at the diner, what time at the Lindbergh MARTA stop, if someone is going to pick up there?

Okay everyone....I finally called Greg tonight. We are on for heading south to the land of "no drink on Sunday" this Friday night. Hopefully I can score something reasonable for us in the Norcross area that night. We'll find our way downtown by car or MARTA Sat. morning and stay that night closer to the High- perhaps the Artmore if there's still room.

atlcruiser, if it ain't too late, please count two NC fellows in for Saturday night. What's the deal with the so-called swap meet? Please tell me said "barbecue" includes charcoal and some aromatic wood applied to them. I'll gladly bring some NC hickory if you need it.

Dave Lackey, having not heard from you on which bike to bring, I'll bring the commuter bike since it has the highest versatility. Please let me know if I should bring something "faster".

Breakfast would be great, and it is my favorite meal of the day. That said, I'm not sure right now that I can be up Sat. morning that early since we may be getting to Norcross around midnight. I reckon we'll see how it shakes out when we get there.

If I've forgotten something, please remind me. Otherwise, I think we'll be planning to see y'all around lunchtime Saturday.
