Regular paperback size (so easy to carry in your bag), and each double page spread is about a different photographer. Some photos and some words.
It's the Cologne Museum collection, and it makes me want to go to Cologne, or even to suggest it as a destination for an RFF meet.
I got mine from Amazon Marketplace for only £1.40. Don't think, just buy it for less than a fancy coffee.

I think there are 2 different books under this same title. One is larger with some 900 pages, I've got it somewhere in the house, and the other one is small enough to carry around and seemed to me to be an abridged version of the former when I handed it at a book shop. Publisher is Taschen.
I'd be interested in a rff visit to the Ludwig museum too.

Is the larger one you refer to this one? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/3822840831/sr=1-2/qid=1196504643/
760 pages rather than 900, but the same title, museum, and only $5 used!
I'm considering buying it for myself.

I have so far noticed 2 different versions even though the newer reprint may differ from the older. The version I bought was bought before I moved in 1999, it is still in the old house...
Taschen publishes nice photo books. They have a nice one on Brassai which I also bought. And my next acquisition will be the one on Araki when they come out with a small size version. The one they sell now is too large for my liking.
Carrefour, Jumbo and FNAC usually stocks these books and its price is really low.

Thank you for that.
I'll be going to Jumbo in Setubal this month for Asian foodstuffs and I'll look out for the Brassai book.
Otherwise I'll go to Carrefour in Badajoz soon.
The fnac's all seem to be city center places with complicated road systems and difficult car parking. But great stores once you get inside.
