This lens, being a dual focal length might be different from zooms. In the DSLR space lots of people are into fixing distortion in PhotoShop, I just do not want to. I think I’m just too much of a purest these days. I don't even want to tweak the shots for fall off.
I looked at the distortion in some of the DX Nikkors and they just do not have the quality of glass that I am looking for. I think they should be called Nikon lenses (ala the old Series E). Now I suspect that if you go up market the distortion get better, but even then, I’m not convinced they are of the same quality (sharpness, speed, etc.) of my primes. Yes, I do not have a 26mm lens, but I can live with that.
Dante thank you very much for taking the time to kick the tires, it seems like an interesting lens. Your thoughts are always great reading and some times mind blowing! I am hoping we can put up a part of the gallery where test images can be posted and categorized by different lenses and all.

I'm with Ray -- while I'd love to have the lens, for compleatist purposes, I'd rather use the M-Hex. 35/2 or the Ultron for interiors, since they're much faster. And the Cosina 21/4 is fine for the limited number of times I'd use this focal length. Had this lens been 25/35....
