21mm F3.4 Super Angulon
I have the above lens which I had modified to meter on M6-M9, on the M9 it over-exposes by 2 stops so I just expose at -2 stops

Can anyone tell me the threaded filter size of filters that will fit between the 21SA F3.4 hood and lens? Is it 43mm?
I need to purchase the correct size B+W 486 UV/IR filter...............

The threads are 48mm, which won't be easy to find - I think B+W discontinued that size, and Leica doesn't make it. However, the dedicated 14501 hood takes Series VII filters which, while not easy to find, are at least still in production by Leica. (And 49mm filters can be substituted for Series VII.)

yes, it takes Series VI filters (or at least, there's a Series VI UV filter mounted on it now).
so 49mm filters can used with the 21SA hood as a Series VI substitute? excellent, that's what I wanted to know. thanks!

I stand corrected -- 6 months ago there were none to be found, but they're back in stock.

I'm going to receive a SUPER ANGULON 3.4 soon and I will mostly use it with my film cameras. However I still have my M8-2 and I was asking myself if I should code it or not.
Are the SA-M8 users here coding their lenses or leave it blank and what code are you applying ?
Thanks
