Way below 3 grand. You can pick a like new used one for just over $2K. It's one of the best value among Leica lenses.

Yep, I use a 24mm external viewfinder. I hate to guess my framelines.

You have put your finger on something here because of all my Leica lenses (mostly modern) this 24 Elmar seems to have the richest colours.

I have to say though, you are doing an injustice to the Elmar by shooting black and white. It's built for colors!
