250mm Rokkor - What to do?

...250mm Rokkor mirror lens...

I just discovered that the lens has a bit of haze over the entire surface of the front element. The lens is mint otherwise. What should I do? Should I send it for repair? What price should I expect to get rid of the haze?

My inclination would be to look into getting it cleaned up. I'd wait for someone to jump in here who can recommend a private repair person at a reasonable cost.

Thanks for the heads up. I phoned this morning two repair persons in my area and they both wanted to see the lens before giving an estimate.

I took a picture of the lens with a strong backlight to show the trouble:

Yes, he overhauled one of my Minolta XD-11 and did a fantastic job. I will try to get a quote from him.

I'm not too surprised... It may call for a specialist, someone who can work on reflector telescopes for instance. Similar technology and materials.
