Not using thumbs up or anything similar... I'm a neck strap user and I hate it digging into my chest.
have you tried one?
i have the camera bouncing off my hip all day and have never felt the thumb thing.

Yes, on my Leicas in the past... it ripped my shirts and poked my chest because I have no muscles...

How do you lock the aperture wheel on the X-Pro1 when using the 27mm? I'm sick of putting it in auto aperture mode and then hitting the little wheel on the body on accident giving myself f/16.
I use a Thumbs Up so I really never hit the wheel inadvertently...not sure if that's a feature or a bug

Found a blog w/ a first impressions write up on the 27 on the xp1. Some nice shots in there as well.

Personally, I like the 27 on the xe1 much better.. I tend to use the xp1 w/ the bigger, heavier lenses.. Especially now that I have the speedbooster for Nikon lenses.

Did anyone make a thumbs up like the one for the x100 where the exposure index dial is protected for xp1..?? For some reason, I end up w/ the xp1 exposure dial moved much more often then the one on the xe1.
