Thanks for your sharing this~
I haven't seen this hood yet. It's very interesting mount on Konica KM 28 2.8. Actually I already thought it is dual lens with hood. Is this hood screw on it or click on it?

I don't know. It looks like a modified Leica M hood from the early 28mm or super angulon lenses. I was wondering the same thing myself.

Well, it certainly isn't the Konica hood designed for the M-Hexanon 28/2.8 - I have one of those and it's a round, screw-on vented hood. While the rectangular hood shown kind-of looks cool, I suspect it is a lot less practical (in terms of blocking the view through the finder) than the original Konica hood. Of course, if you didn't have the original, you'd maybe try to press whatever you could get into service. Mind you, I've not noticed that the M-Hex 28 is especially prone to flare, but then I've always used it with the hood.

I tend to leave hoods in the box if they're expensive or hard to replace. In this case, I could see leaving it on the lens.
I do agree though, my Hexanon lenses don't flare.

I take your point that the Konica-supplied hoods for the M-Hexanon lenses would be both difficult and expensive to replace. But then again, I bought the lenses to use them and I've no plans to on-sell. The only exception I've made is the hood for my UC-Hexanon 35/2, which has a finish that looks very pretty (a black lacquer finish) and also easily damaged (much more so than the finish on the M-Hexanon hoods). I found a perfectly good Hoya hood that works well with the UC-Hex 35 and is in other ways smaller and more practical, so I use that one and leave the original somewhere it won't get hurt.I tend to leave hoods in the box if they're expensive or hard to replace.

blasphemic question: why not just use a heavystar wideangle hood?
Thats what is mounted on the GXR in this picture (a M-Hexanon 28/2.8 with a heavystar vented wide angle hood)

Wow~! You have many good stuff here~ Especially Konica M-hexanon 35 2, a very good M-mount lens indeed.
