OK I've posted this here a million times and it's a bit weird but I still like it. Taken at f2.8 as far as I can remember. It was a test shot when I first got the lens; I wanted to see what it looked like when it was wide open. I do like the results you have posted with yours - this is an excellent lens, I have no need of any other 28mm... 🙂 Sorry about the poor scan. 😱

Wayne: I'd love to post some M-Hexanon 28 shots. I'll use my free Kodak Portra film.

Please send me one of your M5s and the 28. I'll get it back to you in a year or two. In the meantime, you can tell Mrs. Wayne you sold the rig because you just didn't feel right about having two M5 bodies and a non-Leica lens.

What? She doesn't know about those yet? Oh. "Ring ring" ... Blackmail's a bitch, ain't it?

I like this lens. I like Winnsboro, Texas too. Winnsboro is a lot nicer place to visit on a Saturday in December than a mall. 😀

Thanks for looking. Critiques always welcome and appreciated.

You got that right. Lunch with live music and buttermilk pecan pie for dessert. A nice walk after lunch with a camera. It doesn't get any better than that.

Seriously, am I doing ok with the new lens? 😕

Seriously? Yes, doing well. The first one is my fave ... I love the composition and the atmosphere.

Aizan: Another "Trius hot damn". Lovely.

Thanks! That means a lot to me. That picture proved to me that I NEED a 28mm lens. There was no place else to go without sitting on one of the patrons.

One more. The reason I went into the gallery in the first place. The antique tool table. In close and wide open. The last time I do this on purpose. The out of focus areas look fine to me. Y'all thought I was going to mention the "B" word, hey? 😀

No flare either.

It just doesn't flare

It just doesn't flare

It just doesn't flare. Those are zillion watt industrial lamps. Lots of them. Right in the frame. More just out of the frame at 10 o'clock. Lens wide open. It just doesn't flare! 😎

I suppose it would help if I added the photo.

Well, five years with this lens, and I'm still smiling. This is from the first roll I shot with it (and Hexar RF #1) in February 2002.

He he. Before you remembered to add the photo I of course thought your comments were about the previous photo. This guy thinks his pole lamp is a zillion watts?🙂

I have been very interested in the Hex 28. I just won one online.
