28mm 3.5 Color Skopar - what are they going for used these days?

It's a great, small lens.
I bought mine for 350$ and it's like new.
I wouldn't pay more than 400, just because that price is not far away to the prices for the Hex 28 which is another league in terms of build (and I feel, the odds to get a lemon)
That being said, the CS 28 on a IIIf with external finder is, in terms of performance/size ratio, something unique. As soon as I find some time to shoot it, it's going to be my street shooter.

They were $325 I think just a couple of years ago. After they were discontinued, but CQ still had both in stock. Once the black one went out of stock, the price went up quite a bit. About 1.5 years ago.

Another League? I'm not saying it is better than the Konica, but the CV 28mm is made very very well.

You are right, the VC IS well made.
I do believe however, that the Hexanon lenses are, as a product line, better made than the VC, and if I had to burn around 500$ on a lens to be used on an M, I would go for the Hex and not for the VC.
I'm not bashing the Skopar. I actually love it.
I'm just saying I like the Hex is even better (yes, I have both :D), and buying as a used product, I feel the Hex would almost certainly turn out to be good, but I now have my doubts about any voigtlander/cosina lens.

Well the classifieds had one yesterday - $425 and no viewfinder. It sold quickly. Ouch. Looks like the market's too hot for me...

Yeah, I was eying this lens recently as I wanted to add a decent 28mm to my arsenal, and this seemed like the cheapest option. I can't say I want to spend $400+ on one, though, especially if it's only f/3.5. The used market seems to be in a weird state of flux at the moment.

Saw one in a shop today for $335 - some brightmarks on the finish, glass looked fine though. Was tempted...

I had such a CSkopar and would say it's one of the best build CV Lenses! It's fittung is almost the same as like the Rollei Sonnar 2.8/40, and almost as heavy as that one.

I sold mine (near MINT) for 310€ quite fast to UK.

I have a black version of this lens. It's in mint conditon mainly as it's only been used a handful of times. My main focal length used to be 28mm on my RD1 (43mm) and used to shoot with the CV 28 f2 Ultron. I got the CS 28 for it's smaller size / weight but found it rarely got used. Since then my main lens has become the UC-Hex 35mm f2. Anyway I took the CS 28 out today and got a few shots, despite the pouring rain.

I have this lens too and I absolutely love it. Mine is black, but I'm hunting for a silver one to go with my M2.

Here's a sample. Shot captured in Sydney. Neopan 1600 was used. First time I used that film.

Note that I am normally based out of Tokyo.

i also have a mint black 28/3.5 but have become disenchanted with the 28mm fov lately, much preferring the 21 and even the 25...

It's tempting to buy the CV 28/3.5, especially after buying the 21/4 LTM. The 21 is very well made and is a nice sharp lens. But in the end, I have the Contax G 28/2.8 converted to M and it's plenty sharp and small.

It is a very good lens, I only sold mine last year because I settled on a different focal length. As others have said, mechanically a very solid and nice quality. Focuses down to .7m which I find useful which a 28mm lens.

Greetings, Ljós

I've also noticed these always come up for sale orphaned from their finders. What gives? Are they broken up to maximize profit?
