Hi Guys . I purchased a 28mm 1.9 used. I also purchased the screw to bayonet adapter for it.(Also Voigtlander)
On my MP none of the pictures are in focus either with using the scale on the lens (Hyperfocal distance)or with focusing with through the viewfinder.
Is the 28mm compatible with the MP ? should I use a Leica adapter instead ? and finally have I purchased a Lemon ?
Thanks up front

I use the 28/1.9 on my MP all the time, works great. Are you sure the adapter is screwed in all the way?

As far as I know, Yes ,I have it screwed in as far as it will go. I have followed the instructions with the adapter and it cilcks into place. I then screw the lens in place . I'm at a total loss here as to what is going on .
Your pictures only make me think about what I'm missing

If your MP RF aligns at infinity with the Ultron you got a lemon. Sorry, it's a great lens (when working).

If I focus the lens until it reaches infinity the RF does not align I have to adjust it a little touch back from the stop here is an example of what I'm getting

Starting from the basics is your RF in alignment?

Your lens needs to be repaired.

Take it from the beginning.
Does the camera work properly with other lenses, and if so, when was the last time they did so?
If you try another lens on the camera on the same roll of film, do you still have the problem, or does it get better when you change lenses?
Do you have access to or can borrow a known-good camera to test the lens with?
If the camera itself is fine (works OK with other lenses) then if possible, borrow a LTM camera and try the lens without the adapter - that should determine if the lens or the adapter is to blame.
First rule out the camera. Then rule out the lens. Finally, rule out the adapter IF you haven't found the problem by then (but you should have).

Thanks all for your advice. I have arranged to send it bak to the dealers I purchased it from in the UK so that they can test it .. So I'll have to wait and see

My brand-new-out-of-the-box 21mm CV with a CV adapter is doing the same thing! Rats.
I just don't know if it's fine to say "close enough!" or send it back for service from Africa...
Is this an endemic problem with C-V lenses? This is my first.
