28mm & R VF?

So, if the Post Office is kind, I should have my new to me Bessa R in the morning. I've been using my Canon 28/3.5 on a Leica CL for sometime by using the whole VF as a very close approximation of the 28mm FOV. I have read that the R's whole finder is close as well. Has anyone here used it that way? I expect that what I'll do is use the 35 finder lines as a framing aid with the presumption that anything I see will be on film.

Is this reasonable?

I used it that way, Will, but I used the 90mm lines as a guidance (1/3rd of 28).
Worked very well.

Roland.

The 90? Interesting thought... yeah, rule of thirds and the 90 finder makes some serious sense. Thank you for the tip!
