28mm ZM on its way

Just ordered the new 28mm 2.8 from Tony at popflash. I hear really good things about this lens and its half the cost of the Leica. With any luck, I should have samples taken with it and the M8 by Fri night.

Let us know how the silver on the Zeiss lens looks on the chrome MP. I've been wondering if they match up well. My MP is also chrome and I'm about to drop some cash on a Zeiss 25 or 28. But I can't decide; silver or black. BTW, does anyone know why the silver Zeiss lenses are less money on Tony's site than the black?

I've seen a silver ZM 25/2.8 on a silver M8 & it looked fine. I think Rose sells the silver finish for less because there's less demand (you'd have to ask him if the Zeiss wholesale price is different for the 2 finishes).

I actually posted a thread about the issue of the silver lenses being cheaper on Popflash's site, and Tony himself answered and said that it was simply because they simply aren't moving as fast as the black lenses and he's trying to level out his stock.

Oh yeah, and I know its not what you asked, but its along similar lines... the black ZM lenses match up perfectly with the black paint MP.
