I've just returned from a weekend in Barcelona. I took a digital camera for the first time, a Fuji X-T10 I bought a few weeks ago. I was surprised how much I enjoyed using the 18mm (28mm equivalent) as I've never using a lens that wide before (usually a 50mm guy). I also had a 35mm f2.

I've been playing around trying out editing digital photos. I usually just leave my film shots alone apart from levels and sharpening and hardly even use colour.

Here are a few of my favourites (leaving out the cliche shots) any feedback is welcome...:)

Some Colour...

Good job. Reminds me my own trip there. I had taken my black Rollei 35 only, and lots of film rolls in my pockets.

The first one is my favorite so far. This is not an easy town to photograph.

Thanks :) Last time I was there I took a Bessa R2a. I know what you mean about it being hard to photograph, the picturesque parts are over photographed and everything else looks the same haha plus, there's always tourists in the way

Very nice! I think it's ok to have the over photographed ones too, as long as you have others. After all YOU didn't over photograph them!

The wider the lens the more difficult it gets to fill the frame ... with something interesting that is. I opened the thread read your intro and saw only the upper half the first shot and thought great atmospheric catch, which is most likely why you took the shot. Then I had to do something else for a minute, returned to the monitor and scrolled down and the bottom scene with the futon bed completely ruined the initial impression.:( So either you get closer to crop the scene with your feet, or you crop in post processing. The first shot is the perfect example, at least IMHO;)
I like the 4th shot (church) 2nd best. Excellent use of the entire frame.

Thanks for the feedback, I kept putting the camera to my eye expecting to see a 50mm FOV and having to take a walk forward haha. In the case of the first shot, my framing was intentional as I liked the shadows in the foreground which I felt lead the eye to the Sagrada Famillia in the upper centre :D It really is all down to personal preference, I always feel that cityscapes are boring haha.

It would have taken a lot of effort not to photograph everything, it would be like I'd never been haha!
