No, of course I'm not claiming some sort of record. I know many people shoot a lot more than that. But, as I was importing and indexing the scans from my last two rolls (120: Ektar and Rollei Retro 80S, shot in my Fuji 690) into Aperture, I realized with a bit of shock I'd gone through 30 rolls of film in the last 8 months. Nearly one roll per week, on average, which surprises me. It's possible I've taken more frames of film than of digital in this period (again, I know I'm not the only one).

I started back into film after buying an M8 around Christmas of 2009. Shooting the M8 and doing a bunch of B&W conversions left me saying "why don't I just shoot film, it will be more 'authentic', and besides, it's full-frame 😉". So, for my birthday, in April, I bought myself a used M2, at the local camera shop. Really enjoyed shooting it (handles much better than the M8, IMO), and later ended up adding a Fuji GW690III to the quiver. Really enjoy shooting it, too. Have also developed about half the rolls myself, in my bathroom, which is a first for me.

Have enjoyed my time on the forum, as well. Have learned a lot, and that's always fun!

Mike, good job!

Keeping track of records almost always give you a pleasant surprise when you look back.

Keep on, film is fun!

Congrats, 1 roll a week is a steady pace. It will at least allow you to reflect on what you're shooting and how. Keep going!

Thanks for your supportive comments, all!

@Mister E: I think I'll keep the M8. It still has the power to surprise me on some images 🙂.
