Hello
I can buy a secondhand 30mm with center filter cheap.
But its without the special viewfinder !
Do I have to buy the original one from Hasselblad(expensive)
of eg a Voigtlander?
Which Voigtlander viewe finder is good for the 30m lens?
Thanks in advance
Jeroen

Hey Jeroen, Dutch name! Check my 'talking FED1' thread. I made a 35mm finder out of a single use camera. You can easily use it as a 30 because if I want I can see the same fov as a 28mm.

Surprisingly the Xpan's main viewfinder covers the field of view of the 30mm lens - you need to shift your eye around to see the full horizontal extent. Vertical field is also covered when your eye is centered in the viewfinder.
However lens and hood does get in the way but only about 1/8th of the lower right of the frame - but it's useable in situation where the OVF is too bulky or exposed.
For an external OVF - the horizontal field is equivalent to 17mm and vertical equal to 28mm in a normal 35mm - so nothing off the shelf - maybe you could mask off a Voigtländer 15mm finder.
What to hasselblad charge for a replacement - that was dropped or lost?

Thank you spysmart!
I often forgot to bring 30mm viewfinder.
I just checked it and it works good.

That's criminal exploitation - for a piece of tastelessly styled, loosely held together squeaky plastic. ( Admittedly it's optical quality is great ).
For less money ( $700 ) , it's possible to buy a decently build finder :
The 72XL finder for a Linhof 617sIII which has almost identical coverage to the 30mm xpan.

I just got an Xpan II and 45mm lens yesterday in fantastic condition and paid 1100. I don't plan on laying down 700 for a finder! But in any case, the 30mm lens is 2100 in the HERO program (student rate) and 2300 something from Adorama, so if you lose the finder it might make more sense to just sell the lens and buy a new one! You can probably sell the lens alone for about 1700 or 1800, and just doing that and buying a new one is cheaper than buying a new finder!

Have you checked Fotoman 6x17 viewfinders? I am not sure what the minimum focal length is for the 6x17 finder, but the Fotoman units are fairly inexpensive. I picked up a new 6x12 finder for about $200.
In the States, they are available from Badger Graphics. Robert White is the distributer in Europe. You can also order directly from Fotoman in China, but you need to use a money wire, which can make the transaction expensive. I bought mine from the US even though I live in Japan.
