New Voigtlander 35/1.7 Arriving the end of August $980
The new improved Voigtlander 35mm f/1.7 Aspheric Ultron Leica M mount lens is expected to start shipping from CameraQuest towards the end of August 2015.
This is a new improved optical design designed for digital sensors. As I understand it, the sharpness of the 35/1.2 in a lens half the size.
Bundled with a premium B+W 007 Nano Clear Filter and Next Day Shipping to most lower 48 locations, both Chrome or Black versions are priced at $980.

Wow,
The voigtlaender.com site shows quite different looks for the black and chome models. Black is smaller diameter around the aperture ring. Also noticed the filter diameter is specified as 43mm. Now I wonder which it will be: 43 or 46?
The black picture seems to be the prototyp from 2014 Photokina .
The apperture ring of the chrome Version looked the same at this time:

I'm wondering about the final look

Just found this at cosina.jp
Lensdata corrected to 46mm Filter and 330g weight for the silver version.
Now both colors have the same design similar to the new Nokton 50 f1.5

So the 35mm Ultron-M is heavier than the 50mm Nokton-M by about 35 g.

Yes, may be
But compared to the Nokton 1.2/35 (470g) and the new Zeiss Distagon M 1.4/35 (381g) it doesn't matter - especially the black version with 238g ...
