I really appreciate the tips! We had a meeting last night about the race, and the track itself etc, and what spots might be nice for me to be planted, there were a few turns in particular that apparently most of the drama will go down, I have a whole book basically that our team made up fro everyone, family/friends that are attending. Earplugs were definetly a part of their advice as well, I have zero problem wearing them, Im not some macho dude who has to hear the engines, the Porches idle at 4000 RPM! Idle, they wont even pop in gear unless its above 4000, that should speak volumes of the expected noise! Also, yes Im bring my "regular" kit, as in my pro setup, Nikon DSLR bodies, 3 lenses, from wide angle to 210mm, those will be used for the race itself mostly. Its funny because most people oooh and ahh over a big DSLR on my tripod, while Im just thinking, "I cant wait until I can take a break and go shoot with my RF!" Ill definetly post shots once I get home, Im driving from VA to FL, and stopping in SC, so I should have hundreds if not 1000+ shots to mull through after I get back!
