I was wondering if anyone has mounted the Nikon or Voigtlander 35mm f/2.5 lens on Amedeo's adapter for Leica M. I have one of his adapters and his ebay description says 50 85 and 135, but nothing about 35 on down, especially the Voigtlander lenses. The locking mechanism is sturdier than what is on a Nikon camera so I'm wondering if that would get in the way? And where does the lens lock onto the adapter?
I love shooting the 50/1.4 S on my Leica M7 with Amedeo's adapter. Thinking of adding one of the 2.5 S lenses if it'll fit and still have rangefinder ability.
Here is the adapter Amedeo made for me about 5 years ago.

There has been occasional reports of problems with the 3.5cm lenses. Personally, I have owned two different 3.5cm f/2.5 lenses, both of which worked fine on the Amedeo adapter. 2.8cm f/3.5 and 3.5cm f/3.5 lenses also worked on it.
The 3.5cm f/1.8 will not work on the adapter though, due to the size of the rear element.
In contrast, non of the Voigtlander S-mount wide angles will work on the adapter as they are delivered. However, if you grind down enough material on the rear element retaining ring, they will work. See here: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142247

Desperate but not serious
I can mount the Nikkon 3.5cm f2.5 with no problem on a Ameodio S converter.
Keep in mind that the adopter will not bring up the 35mm lines.

Leica M7, W-Nikkor 35/2.5 (S-mount), Amedeo S-mount to LTM adapter, Leica LTM to M-mount adapter. Works perfect (for me).

Excellent. Thanks! I'll stick to the Nikon version. Prefer no grinding.

What is the opinion of the Nikon S 35/3.5 lens? Sharpness range from what aperture to what aperture. Sunny 16 at f/16 ( f/11? ) as a point and shoot on a Leica M7? Any examples?

I have used a Nikkor S 3.5cm, 2.5 lens with Amadeo adapter on my M8.2 with good success. I filed the adapter so that it brings up the 35mm frame lines.
Works fine and with full rangefinder coupling.

My old thread...
Just noticed my Nikon 35mm f/2.5 lens won't mount on the Amedeo adapter I have. It's newish to me and came with a S2 I bought here ( which is finally at DAG for CLA ). I can mount the 28mm f/3.5, 50mm f/1.4, and 105mm f/2.5 on the Amedeo adapter but not the 35mm lens. Anyone else with this problem?
It's hard to tell what might be going on. Looking at the rear of the 28 they look very similar.

I had trouble fitting my 35mm on an Amedeo adapter, but if you wiggle it around, it seems to eventually fit. It is very tight, though! I ended up buying another adapter to just leave the lens on it.

My 35mm f/2.5 S lens fits and works fine on the current Amedeo adapter. I am pretty sure without having them in front of me at the moment, that both should be focused to infinity for ease of mounting.
