35 Cron ASPH on the M8

Interesting comment per your liking of a lens and, thus, not wanting to go from M8 to M9. I have a similar feeling about my Rollei Planar 80mm. I love it on my M8, but don't think it would work nearly as well for me on FF.

Since this thread concerned the 35, I restricted my comment to it. But, my M8/M9 decision was further based on my strong preference for my 50 Summilux asph on the M8.2 versus a roughly equivalent framing from my 75 Summicron asph on full frame. Besides the differences in rendering (and the obvious speed difference) between the two lenses, I never liked the 75 frame lines, much preferring those for the 50.

Sometimes we just find a niche that works.

I found I use the Summicron 35 asph very rarely on the M9,far less than on the M8. Reason I am selling it over at LUF...
