35 mm lenses on RD-1

just my 2 cents, the summicron-40c is my fav lens on my RD-1 and lines up almost perfectly with the 35mm framelines.

it makes a great normal-ish lens.

John, your post was very helpful. Thank you.

I take note that all of you think that no significant sharpness degradation occurs in RF cameras when a lens designed for the 35 mm format is used on smaller sensors. Therefore, I must deduce that the comparison with DSLRs is not appropriate. Why?
I can suppose that a significant role is played by the fact that in RF cameras lenses sit very close to the film/sensor. In DSLR, due to the mirror box, this distance is by far larger. Maybe M-mount lenses take advantage of such a little lens-to-focal plane distance and for this reason they can maintain their sharpness even on smaller sensor.
Maybe, ...but I am not sure .
