Isn't there way to position mirror on horizontal axis?
While most cameras have screw, Petri 7s adjusts by physically bending mirror unit. Maybe SP has similar approach?
Yes, 35SP (and some other Oly models) has a tiny lens inside the rangefinder with what looks like gear teeth around it. Turning this gear either way will adjust up-down of the rangefinder. Olympus Service since 1977. John, www.zuiko.com
I've tried to do the same, but that little gear can't be turned. At least not easily, and I did not want to use force. Is it supposed to work easily?
Thanks,
cluso
It turns. What else can I tell ya. If you force it with the wrong tool, you can break the element right out of the RF. A pair of tweezers (specifically for this job) with the ends reformed into a pincher works fine. Olympus had a tool for this (long discontinued) tool number KCCE3220. John, www.zuiko.com
