I like this lens very much. It strikes the perfect balance with sharpness and contrast. With my preference towards lower contrast it fits the bill quite nicely.

Therse lower contrast vintage lenses offer an advantage to users in the modern world. A neg made with this Canon 35f2.8 lens will scan more easily than a neg (same film) made with a CV 35f2.5.

I too own a Canon 35/2.8 (chrome non-serenar) and am looking forward to getting some photos back from the lens, I just picked it up with a few other lenses and a VT Deluxe body on eBay. I actually got a 135/3.5 all chrome non-serenar as well, both have the <EP> mark showing they were sold in a military exchange, which is kinda cool since I am active duty US Army!
