only replying to let you know I never disassembled one, never needed to... are you sure a bit of excercise won't do the trick?

Hi Johan,

The lube has broken down and gunked up. I temporarily applied some white lithium grease to the exposed focus helical, but I rather take the lens completely apart😉.

Don't worry, that Acall 35 f3.5 that you sold me is doing well, I'm working in North Africa this coming week and a bit and its travelling with me on the Leica II. They make such a nice combination!

Just wondering if you took your lens apart as illustrated in the link above? If so, how did the work go and does it focus smoothly now?!

Hi Simon,

I had a local repairman perform a CLA, the lens is now butter smooth.
I stumbled on the above website by accident (2 weeks ago).
