35mm lens selection for Contax IIa

I got a Zeiss Biogon 35mm f2.8 for my Contax IIa and am really pleased with it...

Nice. Carl Zeiss, Zeiss Optron, (or Carl Zeiss Jena, but I do not think they had one for the Contax iia)?

Yes, Carl Zeiss Jena produced a 35mm. for the IIa, the Biometar 35/2,8.

Not very easy to find, but a very good lens indeed.

Thanks, was not sure. Looking at one of Bingley's pictures, I think his is a Carl Zeiss Biogon (as opposed to an Opton). These are the same lens, just labeled differently. I have one of the Carl Zeiss Biogon 35mm f2.8s also. Mine seems to be sensitive to flare, so it could be its nature, or maybe there is a little oil inside. Not sure yet.Here are a couple of shots (no flare).
