35mm lenses

Update on my trip to Chicago and Central Camera. They didn't have any ZM 35s or the 85. We dug all over the store, working with 3 salesmen, and nothing. Right before I was about to give up a different salesman came up and said he had a new Summarit M 35mm. It was the Demo so he knocked 200 off so I took it. Don't know much about them but it seems like its a nice lens so far. I'll post some results from the first roll. Wonder how it compares to the ZM 35s?

Besides the difference in stops, I think it'll be really close... almost hard to distinguish.

Thanks Chris, when he knocked the price down 200 dollars that helped me make the decision. I was prepared to spend the 900 or so on the ZM so now all I have to do is explain the little extra to my wife.

Nice images Michael, Central Camera is a nice closet of a store, I've bought a couple cameras there and the salesmen are very knowledgeable. I like the angle on the shot of the Van Buren El station

Thanks guys. I was worried a bit when I got the prints back in Chicago, they looked weird. When I got back home and scanned the negs they looked a lot better.
