Hi all, dont know if anyone in this group already has these two and can confrim, but I managed to get a 35mm Summicron ASPH Mk2 for the price of the ASPH Mk1, but...without a hood.
As the lens is new, the hoods are around £180-190 gbp, and not S/h ones are available. Whilst I got the lens cheap, this seems like more than I would like to spend at the minute.
I noticed the 35mm 2.5 Summarit has an E39 (standard female thread) filter size (the same at the Mk2), and also has a metal hood that attaches a male thread on the lens, with the same stop at the bottom.
Does any one know if this lens hood fits the latest Summicon? I suspect they do, but would like to know for definate.
Theres one S/h for a reasonable price, so would be able to buy one.
