35sp

Hello Tom, and welcome. There are probably many members here with this camera, and one that comes to my mind is Trius. You may want to PM him if you don't get any responses in this thread.

Hello I am new to rff, and was wondering if anyone out there has experience using an olympus 35sp.
.......................
I've had mine just over a year now. Great sharp pics and so easy to use. I just recieved one of Gordy's wrist straps to put on it. 😀
This shot is before the new strap.

I never quite got on with mine & part-exchanged it for the M2. No problems with the lens, and the idea of being able to use flash at any shutter speed is attractive, though I never actually used it. The meter is accurate but I didn't enjoy using the viewfinder. It wasn't that much smaller or lighter than the OM SLR's in the hand and the controls were a little awkward to use. If I had used it more then I might have ended up feeling a bit more comfortable with it & my one would have benefited from a cleanup.

Exceptionally sharp and contrasty lens. Olympus put the money into the lens; it is 7-elements where most of the competition used a 6-element design for F1.8 lenses.

Some of the springs are very light, and under constant pressure. The one that controls the frame being advanced one frame and then locking broke on the one I picked up for $15. Replaced it myself with a heavier duty spring, and the camera fetched almost $100 on EBay.
