Question regarding Olympus 35SP

I've got a used Oly 35SP that I've only shot film in it using the fully auto mode in it. I wannt to use filters for bl/white film. My question is which way do I turn the ASA dial to set the camera for a colored filter, do I set the ASA dial for a higher ASA or lower a lower one? And one other question , whih way doy I turn the ASA diial for a 81A/ 81C filter and how much I turn the dial?
