While thinking about buying a Super Ikonta, I ran across 3D printed medium format cameras. Dora Goodman has a very interesting web site, doragoodman.com , about several different cameras, mostly for medium format.
The print files are open source and available to print. You can download the files and print your own. Or, they will print one for you, with or without some of the accessories needed. There are 6x6 and wider panoramic cameras. There are plans to allow using many different lenses, including with a helical adapter. One can arrange for them to fit a Mamiya RB67 Pro S back, or make a 3D printed back. There are also plans for some pinhole cameras. Anyway, the cameras look very interesting, particularly the panoramic ones. I recall that Shawn made a big one he calls Kraken. These are another possibility. Has anyone had any experience using these?
Oh, they also have something that can be printed that will allow you to place your cell phone in the camera back to make a digital picture from a the screen image. This would allow you to use either film or your cell phone to make a digital image using the same camera. That is interesting for sure.
