That's list price. Selling price is less.

Even better Stephen. Thanks for the info. I will most likely pre-order with you soon.

Has there been any information from Voigtlander when CV15 will be available?
I guess someone is testing this lens, and hope we could see a review soon.

Cosina has released no info yet on how soon the new 15, 35/1.7, and 10.5 M43 lenses will ship. the 40/2.8 is estimated to ship next month.

Hmm. It's an interesting lens. Since you have to buy the mount adapter to use it, you might consider offering it as a package for either Micro-FourThirds or Sony E-mount users. The cost of lens plus adapter seems likely more than the cost of a Nokton 40mm f/1.4 MC.

The new Ultron 35mm f1.7 in chrome with 46mm filter size - compared to the old 35mm f1.7 in black.
Is there any factual reason to favor brass over aluminum?

Is it resonable to expect the CV shipping before Christmas? I don't have any experience with CV, and how long it usually takes for them to kick off the production. Given the lens complexity I hope it's not gonna be like Leica's 50mm APO.

The Zeiss Loxia Biogon seems to be quite ugly on the bokeh front (no surprise), so the Ultron is a curious proposition.
Sorry to hear that. I was thinking that this might be a good lens for my A7, but all my 'M' 35mm Biogons do not work on the A7. I'm curious, does C.V. also make the Loxia lenses?

One of the reasons for brass being preferred for chrome is that chrome plating alloy barrels is tricky. It can be done, but it is far to esy to have the chrome " flake" off.

I do hope that the Ultron will render in the same way as the screwmount version. The only screwmount copy I was able to find backfocused quite a bit on my M9, and it wasn't able to be adjusted, so back to the shop it went. This was such a shame, as I absolutely loved the way it rendered, and the way it handled on the M9.

No, at the moment it fits only the Leica M to NEX close up adapter,
so it will only focus on NEX cameras.

Sorry the 40mm looks great but it seems a bit ridiculous to me. An M mount lens that cant be used on any M Mount camera and the one camera its meant for requires an adapter to be able to use it? I got really excited as always willing to try any new 40mm but they seem to have missed the M mount mark here a bit with that one. Unless Im totally missing something or there is a M Mount Helicoid on the way soon? (Although I wouldnt think that is even possible given the M mount is fixed like any other M mount lens to be able to be used with the Nex adapter so any adapter for use on a M mount camera is pretty much out too?)

OK, thanks. So I guess the 35 mm / F 2,5 Color Skopar Pancake II is about as small as you can get from Voigtlander in a ~normal focal length for now.
Yes. It's pretty darn small! And a superb lens to boot.

The lens designer is predicting an exceptionally sharp lens (2.8 lens, 5 elements, 1 aspheric) so with sales popularity I would hope it will eventually be available for M cameras.

This is good to know, Stephen. So many of us here need a sharper lens to finally get some reasonably good images!

Boy, the new Ultron 35/1.7 looks gorgeous! The only complaint with my LTM Ultron was its 1 meter minimum focusing distance and it looks like the new version has fixed that.
I reckon it's now going to be a difficult choice between the Ultron and the Zeiss Biogon 35s.
