40mm Nokton and Ikon ZM

Has anybody used this combo? I've filed the flange to bring up the 35mm on my m6 & the framing's been fine. How about the 35mm frameline on the Ikon? Can I assume it would be the same as using the 35mm lines on a Bessa (with the 40mm Nokton)?
Just wondering as I'm very close to purchasing a ZM & this Nokton is my all-arounder...

There are a number of us using this combo (personally, I have the multicoated 40, and it almost never leaves my Ikon). The frameline selection works the same in the ZI as it does on a Leica M; if your lens brings up the 35mm lines on an M6 it will do the same on the Ikon.

I haven't modified my 40, so it still brings up the 50mm lines. I haven't decided yet whether I want to leave it alone or go ahead with the (presumably irreversible) change...

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I was wondering if the 35mm framelines on the ZM is as usable with a 40mm focal length as the 35mm lines are in an m6. How's the framing? Anybody experience cut off limbs/decapitated subjects when using a ZM 35mm framelines with 40mm glass?

The table in the above link specifies the exact size ratio of MP (same as M6) vs ZI 35mm frameline. The M6 shows 6% more area than the ZI, in other words the ZI viewfinder will crop more, i.e. more accurately frame the 40mm with 35mm lines at closer distances than you are used
to from the M6. It will be easier.

J, I'm using the Rollei 40/2.8 on the ZI with the 35 mm frame lines. It works just fine & the Rollei 40 is actuallyslightly narrower than the Nokton, so if anything, the Nokton should be even a better fit with the ZI's 35 frame lines..

I use the 40 nokton on my ZI and the framing for the 35 comes up and works great!! The only trouble I had at the outset was giving myself enough room on the sides or width depending on how you term it. I know this isn't really a scientific description but RF's aren't exactly known for being "exact" anyway when it comes to framing.

Works like a charm . . .

With the Nokton 40/1.4
Framing is not a problem . . . just fit everything a bit more inside the 35mm frameline.
