They need to start making those again. I love that style buckle too.

Nice bag but there are so many other (cheaper) options...
The perfect M bag right now is probably the Domke F803.
Although I'm using the Crumpler Six Million Dollar home right now.
I'm on the never ending hunt for the perfect setup... :bang:

Find a used computer bag. Cut out the interior divider if there is one and buy some inserts. Some have flaps, some have zippers and some have both.

I have two of those. One is a little scruffier than the other but both are in good shape. Didn't pay anywhere near that for either one.

I paid $19 for one of these, used and pre-stained with coffee. Does that make mine collectible?

You could buy a cheap fishing bag for a fraction of the price, and it wouldn't be on the verge of looking like a posh handbag such as the Fogg effort.

Organic and locally roasted or Starbucks? Could make all the difference in value...

I scored one locally for $30. It is in rough enough shape to hide the fact that im carriying $3000 worth of equipment in it yet still fully functional.

The best camera is one that still works!
$450.00 starting bid for something that looks like a glorified hardware store tool belt!
I'll pass.

The originals used a green canvas shoulder strap.
Leica has never manufactured product like this, it's all sub-contracted.
Made by Orvis, they were as a bag for fishing.
Maybe they still are.

How did they know in the '70s to size it for laptops? Computers in those days filled vast rooms. No wonder they get the prices they charge for stuff, with that kind of foresight

I have three of these I bought twenty + years ago to carry film holders in. All have exactly the same strap as the one in the auction. I also have a burgundy version that's smaller.
Make you a great deal on one or even all three.

Makes me very happy that I paid $40 for a EKOOZ compartment case and 5 Leitz cassette cases for my IIIF.

+1 for the Domke F-803 bag...I have the waxed version and it not only functions very well and is durable, but looks just right.

I had one of those for a while. It went with me every day, every where. It wore out faster than a paper bag.
