46mm filter on Nokton 35

I am thinking of getting the VL Nokton f/1.2 35mm II. I have a series of good 58 and 46mm filters and step-up/down rings would be cheaper than 52mm equivalents. Would a 46mm work (vignetting?) on that lens? To be used on an M8.

Hi Peter. I've never tried so probably should;t even be commenting but IMO I wouldn't. I would bet at wide apertures it would be quite noticeable. I know filters can be expensive but pointless sacrificing the lens quality.
