I've have read several places (incl. RFF) that the SR44 Silver Oxide battery is superior to it's LR44 Alkaline "equal". However, I've got several P&S cameras that take the 4LR44 Alkaline battery. IS there a 4SR44 made or can I just use 4--SR44s?

Thanks,

Bill

I've heard that the SR44 batteries do last longer, but I have no proof to back that up. For superior life, people have recommended 3v lithium batteries (1/3L Duracell), which each replace two standard SR44/LR44 batteries.

Or to answer your original question: I don't know if a 4SR44 is made, but yes you can stack four single SR44 batteries.

Long life is not the only value in SR44's. It is claimed they more closely match the discharge curve of Mercury batteries (RIP). That's why I'm looking for 4SR44's--IF they exist?

Jon:

I didn't see the link yesterday--RFF didn't notify me of your post (happens often), but now I've got it!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,

Bill
