50/2 and small budget

Pete - I would say your best option in the short term is the M-Hexanon. €250 for that lens is a really great price and that lens is as good as a Leica optically and has better build quality. I'm not kidding. Konica made such good optics that back in the day when Japan had a government quality institute the Konica lenses were the benchmark against which all other lenses were judged. They have not slipped since then. The only caveat with the 50mm (and this is my own personal problem) is that it has a built-in lens hood that slides out. I can't stand those things but many people find the design very convenient.

I would say go for the M-Hexanon! :D Make sure you negotiate a reasonable return period in case you don't like it for some reason but at that price it absolutely should not be passed up.

Hey:)

An adapter and postage is included in that price. At Scandinavian prices, that's probably reasonable!!

Still far too much cash for what is basically air!! :D :D

They are going for less than $12-15 USD on eBay plus maybe $15 USD for shipping. Anyway, it is a good lens and if you can find it locally and examine it first that's a big plus for sure.

If I buy that lens I will buy it from Ebay. The lens is cheap but that adapter makes the total cost pretty high.

And that 50/2 hexanon is gone...the seller gave whole Konica set in trade for digital stuff and the new owner sells those forward only as a kit. Damn!

If the major component of cost is the adapter, I suggest that you don't both with the f2.8 lens and get a 50mm/f2 Jupiter 8 instead. That extra f-stop is handy when shooting available light indoors.
