$50 for an OM-2n + 50mm f1.4 zuiko?

Saw a local ad for this set for $50 or best offer. Seems low, particularly including that lens. But looking on eBay, I was surprised to see that these lenses and camera don't seem to go for all that much.

I thought so but I'm not all that familiar with this system. It's a local craigslist ad. For all I know, the condition of the camera and/or lens is terrible.

Or it's just some old film camera that grandpa left behind. You would be surprised how many people just pass them over without a thought thinking that it's not worth anything if it's not digital. I paid $75 for a nearly spotless black om2 with a 50/3.5 macro, $10 for a perfect chrome om1n that was "just sitting on a shelf collecting dust", and $50 for a user om1 with an early silvernose 50/1.8 AND a >1.1M 50/1.4 without a single mark on it. He forgot it was sitting in a drawer. 😎

Good advice ... apparently he has plenty of parts available for this model so pretty well anything will be repairable.

I just picked up my first OM--a chrome OM-2n--for $16.50 on eBay! Surprisingly, it has a very nice grid screen. I think another $35 for a 50mm 1.4 would be a great deal.

The 35mm 2.8 lens I picked up separately is pretty mediocre, though. Expected more from MC Zuiiko glass.
