My Shibata landed last week. Was a bit underwhelmed at first. The bag I got looked a bit shelf worn and squished in it's plastic wrapping.
Once unpackaged and loaded with Xpro w/35 mount plus 18 and 60mm. Plus Rolleiflex in another divider. It looks full but is quite comfortable holding it all.
I wanted smaller a bag for a Rollei and RF or X series kit. This one does nicely.
Now about those colors. The blue is just ok. Wishing for a basic black in this Shibata design.
it would meet my needs if i just used the one body…and yes, black is always my favourite when it comes to bags...

I agree that the black bag looks better but if you're in a warm climate the black bag is going to be considerably warmer inside than a light bag is going to be.
More important back in the film days but also applies to plastic stuff on the cameras today. I wonder how hot an SD card would have to get before it warped?

" i'm tempted to try it w/o the liner as well..."
I just got a Bandon and was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately, the inside of the bag doesn't have a velcro strip on the bottom, just the top for the liner. So you can't use the dividers properly without the liner in the bag.

you can usually find hook and loop tape with an adhesive backing. I use it for all kinds of stuff. Fabric stores are a good place to check.

My M5s need red dots!
I would have swung one... but came too late to this party. Darn... I too am a Domke man, but the Bandon looks too good to be true for my D700, and the Shibata is the thing for my Leicas.
I'll see to get the Bandon later. I already got yet another F5XB (in olive green) for my upcoming trip. But that Bandon is talking to me...

Received my Bandon yesterday. Works fine with my Xpro1 with lens mounted and 3 other lenses + small flash. I put the aftermarket lens hoods, sd cards + spare batteries in the outside pockets.I'd rather this bag than my Domke F6 but will still be looking for the Billingham Hadley Pro in sage green and chocolate leather. Thats the bag I want.

the bandon looks too big for comfort (mine comfort) that is…
the shibata holds my 2 bodies with lenses attached and oem hoods reversed…my small third lens has no home in though…if i carry one outfit along with the bag then there is tons of room for the 3rd lens…
i like the feel of the shibata, the look of it, the size…i'll use it.
