50mm DR 'cron with bugeyes???

Anybody actually USE those bugeyes?

Oh yes. But I found that when used up close for portraits, the face gets distorted, nose becomes too big, etc. So my advice is shoot from the side of the face if you want to get up close.

Otherwise, it's just a regular 50 mm with a slightly nearer min focus.

I did use the DR for close-ups. But now my Quinon can focus to 60cm on my IIf without any eyes!
I sold the DR with bugeyes because of the hassle and because of the need to be close to get a small repro ratio. Any 90mm will get the same ratio, only with smaller depth of field. It is a tradeoff.

I was pleasantly surprised when I used my eyes on the DR. I would have bought it without them but the one I have came with them. Not exactly "macro" but fun nonetheless.
