Hi all,

In my recent purchase of my M7 .72, the 50mm framelines are ok but the 35mm lines are full-frame for me as I wear glasses. I was hoping for some space around the frames of both focal lengths for the true rangefinder experience.

Can anyone tell me how small the 50mm framelines are on the .58. For instance, how do they compare to the 75mm lines on the .72?

Similarly, are the 35mm lines on the .58 the same as the 50mm on the .72?

FWIW, I'm not interested in focal lengths longer than 50mm and for anything shorter than 35mm it seems for me I would need an external finder anyway (even 28mm on a .58 version).

So, before I do something drastic, like sell the .72 for a .58 or something crazy like buy the .58 as well (and spend the rest of my life in debt), any advice would be appreciated on this.

Thanks.

Thanks. I will have a look on the Leica website.

I wondered though whether anyone had any real first hand experience, either having used both types of viewfinders or currently own both.

35 in the .58 is bigger than 50 in the .72, but the 50 I'm not sure. Cameras are all in the studio, but I'll try and check back tomorrow with more detail.

If this is the case re: the 35mm in .58, I'm assuming that the 50mm in .58 would also be bigger than the 75mm in .72.

If that is the case, then I have probably purchased the wrong camera and need the .58 viewfinder instead. Yikes!
