Hi all,
I picked up this lens on the classifieds here for a pittance. I was on the fence about dropping $200 on a "internal lens adapter" from Kippon.
I went with a Frankenstein Russian contraption for $70 and am quite happy. Focus... well.... sucks... BUT (!), the lens is really quite special.
I own dozens of lenses that I use on the NEX, and I get really bored by many of the "classic" lenses I'm told are awesome. They all kind of look the same and can be easily manipulated to emulate each other with a little LR tweaking. This one, however, has a really beautiful look all its own.
Amazingly, all but #1 are largely untouched in LR. Some minor exposure adjustments, but essentially OOC.
1 and 4 are at f/2.8.
2 and 3 are wide-open at f/1.4
