What Leica lens have you coded it as?
Do you use IR-cut filter on it?

I bought an M8 about six weeks. I have six lenses - old screw mount Leicas and CVs. The focal lengths are between 25 and 135mm. None of them are coded and I am happy with the results to date. So I have no intention to worry about the 6-bit coding issue.

WATE, and I use the Leica filter, it gives better results than B&W.

Keep an eye out for demos and certified pre-owned models. Leica USA warranties for 12 months instead of 24 but the savings is about 25%. I bought mine at Popflash.photo (Tony Rose).
